Can you guess where we are going?
Here is one more hint.
You guessed it! We are going to visit...

Meeska....
Mooska....
Mickey Mouse! We are taking the boys to Disneyland for the first time ever! Such anticipation of the excitement!{hence all the exclamation marks!!!!}
I have no idea which is funner...planning for the trip or the trip itself.
We've been busy introducing the boys to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy the past few days by watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on my computer{yes, the same computer I am currently blogging from}.
They are glued, as you can see.
While Finny was at a special session of morning kindergarten(oi. early), I let Calvin and Ollie eat breakfast in the family room in front of my computer, to watch their beloved Mickey Mouse.
And yes, I was a nervous wreck that they would spill their food all over my carpet, so I tethered them both to highchairs(I know, I am such a fun mom).

I have watched countless bloggers go to Disneyland and have been patiently waiting for our turn. SO many questions.
What are we going to wear?
Do we unleesh the controversial 'Leesh'?
Is Ollie going to behave?
This is kind of a big deal.
Eeeek!
Ok, the boys are begging me to watch Mickey again, so I better sign off!
How exciting! I do think the planning is the "funnest" part cause we don't plan for cranky kids, melt downs and crowds of people. I'd say take it slow and don't try and do everything. My little guys loved meeting the characters and getting autographs. Just a few well selected rides was enough. I remember sitting on the curb with my grandchildren watching the parade and tearing up cause it was just so darn special to be there with them. Have fun and take lots of pictures! = )
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I know you'll have many great memories. I agree with Suzanne: take things slow and don't try to do too much.
ReplyDeleteWe're nowhere near Disneyland, but our Texas State Fair is coming up (not quite the same, but it IS big...). It's been a special tradition for my hubby and I, and I hope to take Caleb this year. But keeping it simple will be my motto, and trying not to be too disappointed when we have to leave by naptime. Speaking of...how are you going to handle naps for Twain? Caleb's still got two a day; I thought we'd see if he'd skip one.
Oh how fun! Have a great time - can't wait to see pics!
ReplyDeleteHaving just gone...I say taking the stoller is a must!! Also pack lots of snacks because the food at Disneyland can be expensive.
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun!
p.s Dumbo, Carousel, and Small World are great starter rides. Some of the others in Fantasy land are really dark.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I think I might be even more excited than you are for you guys to go! Okay, I know that's not really possible, but I'm just BURSTING at the seams for you guys to go. I'm already looking forward to the blogs about it and I'm sure the lingering Mouse inspired blogs to come. EEEK!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute! So cute so cute so cute!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to the land of Disney. Can't wait to hear about your trip!
OMG. Adorable.
ReplyDeleteThey're going to have a blast.
I hope you post lots and lots and lots of pictures.
How exciting for you guys! We are disneyland junkies over here but there is NOTHING like the first time for kiddos :) SO magical! Enjoy the planning and enjoy the trip!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear all about it =) I also can't wait to see the shirts! So much fun Davi, I hope you guys have a magical time!
ReplyDeleteAre you going very soon???? We were there just last Tuesday for Logan's 7th bday (7 gah! I think that officially makes me an old lady)...and it was EMPTY and amazing. I think this is the best time of year to go. You wouldn't even need the leash!! Our kids were able to run around without even holding our hand because the place was completely deserted. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Can't wait to hear how it goes. I can't wait to take Josh and Rachel, but I have a few years to wait... :(
ReplyDeleteoh, I am SO so so excited for you all!! Disneyland with your kids is like one of the best things ever. Especially if it's not too busy and if you just kind of take it slow and easy. You'll know how much fun and Disney fabulousness your boys can take. :)
ReplyDeleteCAN'T WAIT to see pictures!! EEEEE!!!
have fun Davi dear!
Oh how very exciting! We took our boys last year in September and it was perfect and not crowded. I totally understand about being afraid of someone getting sick and having it ruin vacation plans. We're going to Chicago for Christmas and I kid you not, I'm already praying that God will keep us healthy during our trip! I can't wait to see all of your pictures when you get back. I hope the boys LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a blast!! how exciting!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm on pins and needles for you! It is our favorite thing to do as a family and I actually crave it when we haven't been in 6 months! I agree with the other advice you got: Don't try to do everything or you'll feel stressed. Just enjoy each moment for what it is and let the kids take the lead! Have fun! I can't wait to hear how it goes! :)
ReplyDeleteohhhhhh!!! i'm SO excited for you guys! your boys are gonna fall on their face from sheer enjoyment of it all; i'm sure of it :) if it gets crazy hot, you should try the playhouse disney live show over in california adventure! the kids will love it & you'll get to sit in AIR CONDITIONING!! have fun!
ReplyDeleteyour boys are just TOO MUCH PRECIOUSNESS!!
ReplyDeleteSO exciting! I can't wait to read all about your fun times at disney!!!
