Dear Little Baby,
I got to see you yesterday,
I saw your precious little feet
and your teensy hands
I saw your stomach
and your beautiful 4 chamber heart
I saw your umbilical chord
and I saw your spine
I saw your face
and I saw you opening your mouth
I saw your "button" nose(the ultrasound tech kept saying how adorable your nose was--we will take this as a huge compliment since last time we saw her she was kicking the ultrasound probe).
But I did NOT see your gender. Even though you were apparently flashing us right and left. Nope, I held strong. I did not peek.
and I am completely overwhelmed with joy at the thought of meeting you this May.
I love you,
Mama
Hi Davey:
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this baby. You are a very special lady and the perfect choice to me a mother of four! Hey, could you email me your street address? I have something I'd like to send you.
Very exciting Davi to see our little one. Very precious.
ReplyDelete:) - if I could have blown that smile up to 1,000,000 times that size, that's how I feel. I love you! (and I love your new baby!)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I can positively not wait...and I AM finding out this time!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for holding strong. I couldn't do it. The baby is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow awesome!!!!! What a beautiful ultrasound pic. Our tech couldn't get a profile one. I was bummed.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear baby is healthy! You are SOOO strong for holding out too! I'm so impressed!
Oh, I was so hoping that you were going to add an, "and I saw a ..." Oh well...the important thing is that the baby is healthy and you're happy. =)
ReplyDeleteAnd, Paulette...you're finding out??? I'm SO excited!!! you're telling all of us, right??
Well, you've got a heck of a lot more willpower than I do! In fact, I really just want to call the doctor's office myself and find out for you! Of course I just wouldn't tell you! HAHA! Congrats again!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sally, I was totally waiting for you to tell the gender. You are strong!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Seeing their cute little nose on the ultrasound definitely makes it more real....
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious picture. It is just perfect. I'm so excited for you and your family. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I too thought you would give in and find out! But I'm so glad he's healthy (hee hee...there's my prediction for you)!!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe you are already 20 weeks... so amazing. I cannot wait to meet the little boy (or girl!!!!) inside of you. You are an amazing mother, and that child is already so bless to have you as his or her mommy!
ReplyDeleteAre you 20 weeks pregnant already???? Gosh... how come my pregnancy didn't go as quickly as yours has? lol.... CONGRATS!! That baby is already just as cute as can be. Boy OR Girl. =)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all such a sweet letter to baby... Second, i think that is what i want to do this time around. I almost didnt find out with Eli - than BOOM - BOY! Needed to find out with Cora.. I think with this one i want to keep it a surprise for me and Gabe.... Plus i think if its a girl Eli will be pretty disappointed. You are defiantly inspiring me to do so... Hope your feeling well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great pic! I am dying to know, but I fully support your decision to wait! I can't wait until May!
ReplyDelete"are you crying?" -mike at me getting teary eyed reading this.
ReplyDeletei cant wait to see you and your baby belly!
so sweet. i love the profile pics! you are one strong mama for not finding out the sex! did you do this w/ all your boys?!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, it's the most precious little thing! I can't wait to meet him/her!
ReplyDeleteawwww adorable! but dang you're not finding out? that would be torture for me! :) Did you find out the sex of your other children?
ReplyDeletei did NOT find out with Finn, but found out with Calvin and Oliver. I really loved doing it both ways. With Finn, I loved the surprise, but with Ollie, I loved sewing him special little things--it was actually one of the most precious times of life for me. For now, I am content with my oblivian:)
ReplyDeletePrecious...simply precious.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about meeting my next little niece/nephew! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute baby! He or she will be a blessing no matter what the gender. I am like you, I kept my first child a surprise and found out with my second and I LOVED both ways. There is something really special about waiting but it's also fun to know and plan and call baby by his/her name. I am so excited for you and this latest addition to your family! You're halfway there! WHOO-HOO!
