babies in jeans

The topic of discussion today is babies wearing jeans.

A few weeks ago, Twain wore jeans to church, and I snapped a few shots of him when we got home.

And ever since, the photos sat, collecting dust.

Why?

Because I am so NOT OK with how grown-up he looks wearing these jeans!

I bought these jeans at Old Navy a few months ago and thought they were just adorable because of their built-in-belt. I totally have a thing for belts.

But golly, doesn't he look like a teenager in this shot?(Well aside from the onesie. Teenagers do not wear onesies.)

And the funny thing is, Finn and Ollie LIVED in jeans and cords. It just suited their style.

Calvin, on the other hand, was soft and squishy like Twain and rarely wore jeans. He mainly wore soft comfy clothes that were more baby-ish. And it suited his style.

I may not prefer Twain to wear jeans, but I don't want to waste money and they are very practical for outdoors. So, he shall still wear them from time to time.

And underneath, he's still my same warm snuggle bug.

The end.

  1. He looks mighty cute in jeans! But yes, he does look grown up. I look back at some of Aubrey's baby pictures and her little "grown up" outfits and I wish I would have dressed her more like a baby for longer. The grow up too quickly as it is!

  4. He looks so adorable in the jeans with the belt. I LOVE the second picture of him. You can tell he's been in front of a camera a time or two.

  5. Jeans or not, he still is the squishiest, most lovable little baby!

But yeah, not including Tacy, I couldn't put jeans on my babies until after they were crawling, at which point they became a necessity as all their knees were being blown out!

  8. Awww! I love baby jeans. Except Rowan hardly wears them. I actually don't think I have any in his current size. I had some 0-3 and then 3 months... but he was SOOOO COLICKY up until 4 months that we never left the house, so they never really got worn. But now that we are out and about more, I need to get some. Its just in cotton pants most days.

LOVE your little guy in jeans!

  10. I love the way baby jeans look, but they always seem uncomfortable. Bean has trouble getting around when I put them on her. If we're out and about I'll put them on her so she doesn't look like such a ragamuffin, but at home she mostly hangs out in the squishy clothes. :)

  11. Haha, my Carson has these jeans and I too LOVE them, but yes he looks as though he has aged by many months. He will look like a baby one day in his onesies and sweatpants and then a much bigger boy in his jeans (with belt of course) the next day.

  12. He looks so adorable in jeans! But you are right, he looks like a big boy. Zoe wears jeans all the time and there will be times that I look at her and she looks like a toddler.. but smaller. But they are too cute so I continue to put them on her. ;)

  16. I've yet to put Rachel in jeans... She's so big and they look so uncomfortable for some odd reason. I'm on the lookout for some nice soft jeans for her to wear, but I haven't had any luck finding them...

  17. This totally makes sense to me. I could not put Ali in certain clothes because they just were not "her". Twain is always adorable though!

  20. "teenagers do not wear onesies"-- lol... for some reason that struck me as really funny!!

you're right, jeans do age a baby incredibly! I put Rosalie in a pair the other day and was blown away by how much older she looked.

Twain wears them well... but then again, maybe that is because he is simply ADORABLE.
