wonder woman and R2

I got a request to make a blanket and tee for a baby shower gift. The mama-to-be is having a girl and does NOT like the color pink. Could I please do red, white and blue?

"Hm", I fumbled. "I'm not sure I have any red, white and blue fabrics..."

I was really stumped. I am as patriotic as they come, but this color combo was just not in my usual repertoire.

Then I remembered that I did have some wonder woman fabric that had red, white and blue in it. So, we decided to give it a whirl. And I'm so glad I did, because I had a lot of fun.

Jessica insisted that I use this "V" denim pocket when I emailed her some potential candidates. Good call Jess!

I've been itching to embroider R2D2 for a while now, and Henry's birthday seemed the perfect opportunity( I am not allowed to embroider trademark characters to sell, but gift-giving is ok)

So, thanks Henry for turning one, so I could get this lovable droid out of my system. Happy Birthday!

Except that now Ollie wants one. He says "look mama, Henry's shirt matches my new grey cords."

  6. WOW! How on earth do you do that?! I am really artsy fartsy, but I could NEVER make anything that cool! An iron on R2D2 is about as cool as I could get =) But what shocks me even more is how you find the TIME and CONSENTRATION to do that with 3 boys at home + a hubby! You are the super hero girlie! And I stand shocked!
