Happy Thanksgiving!

We went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving and to my shock they painted the shed door. From red to creamy yellow. I can't believe they didn't consult me.

My papa set up an archery range for the kids, much to their thrill.

Calvin is still lamenting this stick he left at my mom's house(Mom, could you save it for him?).

Reepacheep.

This face. Who me?

Yes YOU Tweeds. Can you believe this face poked a bunch of fat holes into my vintage vinyl desk chair with a pencil on Thanksgiving morning?

Mama was not happy and he got in big trouble. At least he fessed up immediately and did not tell any tall tales. That was appreciated. He immediately raised his hand with a smile and happily admitted "I did it!" Seriously I do not know what to do with a wild destructive child. It must get under control before he does any serious damage. Tips welcome!

Last fall when I found out that my little sister was pregnant, I dreamed of the THIS Thanksgiving, where she would have plumpalicious 5 month olds.

They are too precious for words and my joy was made complete. Happy sigh.

My crew is pretty much unphotographical these days, but here are a few we managed to sneak for this Thanksgiving of 2012.

So thankful for these little boys.

And for my honey bunny.

Unfortunately, I got sidetracked by a wayward toilet and forgot to take pictures of anyone else that day. It had to be plunged, peeps, and it was done most enthusiastically by yours truly. Those 200+ toilets I plunged at Hume Lake summer of 2005 weren't for naught.

SO extremely thankful for God's love, family, friends and toilet plungers.

  3. Seeing pictures of your parent's backyard is making me sentimental...I remember helping you bring in your laundry from that clothes line out there. Thoughts of growing up together....shaving our legs together sitting on the edge of your parent's tub, eating canned soup at your table after snow skiing....good times. These pictures of your sis' babes makes me also miss my sis' babes! xo

  6. Where is Calvin's adorable striped shirt from?? Love it.
Those pictures of the babies and your sister's family are DIVINE. I think that's the best baby age ever. Goodness, they're gorgeous.
And lastly, there is no advice to give, unfortunately. Other than learn to let go, sister. My first two boys were pre-programmed to ultra-super-extreme destructo. It's frustrating, rage-inducing and depressing. The worst my boys have done is shattering the rear windshield of our van. Seriously. At age 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 they accomplished that. And so many others, I could go on for days. I guess one good tip I learned was don't punish them for childlike behavior. Only for true disobedience. Hard to tell the difference sometimes. Good luck. Deep breaths. Lots of prayers and patience. (Oh wait, forgot I was talking to you. Started talking to myself there).

  8. Your little Tweeds just cracks me up!!! My son walked across my kitchen floor with his track cleats on when he was old enough to know better. I've been waiting for his son to do something similar. LOL But honestly, your boys are such a delight. Your blog brightens my day. Thank you.

I'm just sitting her getting caught up on your blog (I was woefully behind) and of course as usual there is just far too much wonderful stuff to even comment on (my brain is going a million different directions, I think all the cuteness and adorableness and funny-ness is giving me ADD), so I will just leave you with this: Jeremy has the same flannel shirt as John!!

there, aren't you so glad I left this comment?
